SportsDo performance in the air

Flying

If you're piloting a regular passenger aircraft then you're spoiled for instrumentation. Flying a hang-glider is another story, whether it's powered or not. Then there's fixed wing gliders and balloons. These are all aircraft where SportsDo comes into its own.

At a glance

SportsDo delivers real-time data on your speed, distance, altitude and route, right to my mobile phone. It's brilliantly designed to show me my key stats at a glance, or my chosen dials in large format. And because it records everything on my phone, SportsDo is actually superior to regular fixed instrumentation.

Hear my stats

I can set SportsDo to announce my stats through my phone's speaker or earphones too. If I'm listening to music, the announcements simply layer over the top at my chosen intervals. It's an easy and safe method of performance feedback.

Online journal

SportsDo faithfully records all my trip stats as I go. I can then analyse them using the phone's graphs and charts. I can also upload my trip information to the SportsDo portal where it's placed in my own log, along with any photos I've taken. The log page includes detailed maps that show my exact routes, with my pictures pinned to the spots where I took them. I can even link through to Google Earth to relive my flights – and compare my pictures to theirs!

Follow me live

I'm using SportsDo Live to share my passion for flying with my sporting mates. SportsDo Live transmits regular bulletins containing my key stats to the web, where they can be tracked by anyone to whom I've given permission. SportsDo Live is a fascinating window onto the sporting world, showing what real people like us are getting up to all around the world – right now.

Always with you

Sometimes I'm a passenger too, flying commercial for work or pleasure. If I'm sitting in the back then SportsDo gives me live data throughout the trip. It doesn't need to use the phone network so there's no chance of it interfering with the aircraft's navigation systems. It only needs the global GPS satellite system – and that's always there, flying above us.

Record those hours

Fliers need good data if they're to get the most out of flying and improve their performance. They also need to keep good records so they know where they've been, the flying hours they've put in, and the goals they've achieved. SportsDo makes this much easier to manage. It also makes it fun, and lets me share my experiences with others. SportsDo creates conversations. I meet new people all the time through SportsDo.
